Terms and Conditions

1.  Refund policy

            A.  Cancellations or rescheduling of hunts must be requested not less than 7 days prior to the scheduled hunt.  A cancellation/rescheduling fee of $50.00 will be charged.  Hunts cancelled or rescheduled less than 7 days prior to scheduled hunt may be subject to a forfeiture of all fees paid, at the discretion of MTZ Ranch.  All refunds will be processed through the payment portal in which received.  All applicable fees will be the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

            B.  Cancellation after voucher/coupon has been redeemed is subject to the same terms and conditions as set forth in the preceding paragraph.  Rescheduling may be allowed at the discretion of MTZ Ranch based on availability, and is subject to a rescheduling fee of $50.00.

            C.  No Shows.  Failure to show up for your scheduled hunt will result in the forfeiture of all fees paid.  Hunts may be rescheduled at the discretion of MTZ Ranch and may be subject to rescheduling fees.

 

2.  Refusal of service

            A.  MTZ Ranch, its employees or agents, contractors or affiliates reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason.

3.  Additional hunts may be purchased at the time of the hunt based on the terms outlined in the website booking portal and availability.

4.  It is the sole responsibility of the participating individual to comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

5.  If MTZ Ranch personnel determine that a serious safety infraction has occurred, this will be grounds for an immediate termination of the hunters right to the property.  Hunters forfeit all fees paid.

6.  All equipment is subject to a safety inspection prior to its being allowed to be taken into the hunting areas.  This includes, but is not limited to:

            -Firearms and ammunition

            -Bows and arrows/crossbows and bolts

            - Ocular devices

            - knives

            This does not include the searching of a person(s), range bags, luggage, purses, etc.

Ranch Rules

1.  Prohibited Items:

            The following items are strictly prohibited from being taken to or used in the hunting areas.  They include but are not limited to:

            A.  Firearms smaller than .24 caliber.  Excessively larger calibers may be prohibited, at the discretion of MTZ Ranch personnel.  Exclusion for predator hunts.

            B.  Narcotics as identified by Penal Code Section 49.01 "Intoxication" (Prescribed or illegal)

            C.  Ammunition that is a "Tracer", Armor piercing, or any other ammunition that is deemed unsafe or excessive by MTZ Ranch personnel.  Absolutely no NATO ammunition.

            D.  Open toed shoes.

            E.  Fireworks, explosives, Tanerite

            F.  Personal ATV and or vehicles on senderos outside the main road entrance or headquarters area.

2.  Hunting attire and equipment:

            A.  It is the sole responsibility of the hunter to ensure they have the proper equipment, gear and clothing to safely and effectively be in the hunting areas.  Be mindful that this is a rugged environment and is prone to have poisonous snakes, spiders, insects and other predatory creatures.  Weather conditions are subject to change. 

            B.  Hunters are responsible for having clothing and equipment that keeps them warm and dry.

3.  Prohibited Conduct:

Safety on the ranch is our utmost priority, therefore, the following list is not all encompassing.  MTZ Ranch personnel have the right to prohibit any activity they deem unsafe or undesirable at their sole discretion.

            A.  Leaving your blind without the guide being present.

            B.  Walking or exercising around the property outside of designated areas.

            C.  The firing of weapons outside of the hunting area.  This includes the lodging area, equipment storage, and processing areas.

            D.  Alcohol consumption prior to or while handling firearms.

4.  Hunting hours:

            A.  Check-in is 2:00pm for everyone.  Afternoon hunters will depart upon cleaning and quartering of the harvest.  Overnight guest need to pack and load by 11:00am following their morning hunt and depart upon cleaning and quartering of their harvest.

            B.  MTZ Ranch hunting hours are from 30 minutes before sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset.  Transportation to and from hunting blinds will be coordinated as close to these times as feasible. 

            C.  If you desire to hunt outside of these designated times, that must be coordinated directly with the guide and are solely at the guides discretion.  It is recommended that you coordinate this with the guide in advance (prior to arrival).  There is an additional cost for these times and will be collected by the guide prior to the hunt, at a rate of $15.00 per hour per person, with a $100.00 minimum (trophy fees still apply except package deals).

5.  Harvest and Tracking:

            A.  Harvest of animal is considered when blood, hair, bone fragment is present.  Payment will be collected.

            B.  Tracking-every effort will be made to recover every animal.  Wounded animals may require more time to track, this may result in additional fees for shipping of the harvest.  First 50 yards will determine the condition of shot placement and condition of animal in effort to maintain schedule.  Additional costs can occur at the guides discretion depending on circumstances.

            C.  All hunters must hunt their purchased hunt or intended harvest.  All trophy fees apply to the animal(s) harvested.

            D.  Larger trophies, full time guide, and additional trophies can be purchased during the hunt.

     

All items brought onto MTZ Ranch are done so at your own risk.  MTZ Ranch is not responsible for the loss, theft or destruction of any property brought onto the MTZ Ranch under any circumstance.
